Peter Hodge
Peter Hodge is an author, careers coordinator, tutor, and musician
who creates uplifting children's adventures inspired by resilience,
friendship, and overcoming challenges.
Having both bone cancer and a life-threatening battle with Pneumonia, Pete brings a unique perspective to his writing, drawing on his own experiences of illness, recovery, and determination.
His children's book, The Adventures of Bobby and Robot Meg, follows a brave young monkey and his robotic prosthetic leg as they navigate exciting jungle adventures alongside their animal friends. Through humour, kindness, and problem-solving, Pete hopes to inspire children of all abilities to embrace differences, build confidence, and believe that challenges can be overcome.
When he's not writing, he enjoys spending time with family and
friends, making and watching live music, exploring nature, and cheering on his beloved Blackburn Rovers.
Dan Crew
Dan Crew is an MA 2D digital animator and artist based in the Midlands. He has worked on everything from TV adverts, animated music videos, children's teaching resources, print work and children's books
He had previously worked with the local council and schools to produce animations about anti-bullying and other key childhood messages. The Adventures of Bobby and Robot Meg was the perfect follow-on project, where he could bring to life Pete’s ideas to teach and inspire kids.
Dan met Pete when he made a music video for Pete’s band Inego. Since then, they have been good friends and this latest collaboration represents a new venture in their creative journeys.
Between projects, Dan loves exploring new towns and cities for inspiration, playing video games, collecting and photographing toys and visiting coffee shops and bars to do some sketchbook work.
